A Plan + Action = Success

Tell us your plan for career success. We want to hear about the steps you are taking to get a career after college. A career won’t come to you by accident. You have to make it happen!

The Westwood College PATH to Success Scholarship Program rewards students who take control of their future through dedicated career planning and action. Westwood will honor students at each campus who are taking personal responsibility for their future by making a thorough career plan and taking detailed steps while they are still in school to get a job in their field after college.

In a 300–600 word essay, answer the following:
Share your career plans after graduation and the specific steps you have taken to prepare for your career during college, including meeting with career services, attending workshops, job fairs, internships, networking events and other relevant career-related activity. If you have started a formal career plan with Career Services, include details and action taken from that plan.

In a 100–200 word essay, answer the following:
Describe why you chose a career-focused education, and what you hope to accomplish with your degree.

Westwood PATH to Success Scholarship Awards
One scholarship from each category will be awarded on each ground campus. Three scholarships from each category will be awarded to Westwood College Online students*.

  • Gold Scholarship: $2,000
  • Silver Scholarship: $1,000
  • Bronze Scholarship: $500

One student system-wide will be selected from the Gold scholarship winners to receive the Platinum Scholarship award:

  • Platinum Scholarship: $10,000
