I am seeking a part time graphic designer to help with a diverse range of high profile creative work. My small marketing and creative company serves an exciting base of clientele, mostly in the worlds of hospitality and real estate, and produces print and digital work ranging from basic Flash and HTML to direct mail campaigns, some simple collateral pieces, large format signage, and high-exposure print advertising.

This job offers a very flexible schedule, and will require 15-20 hours per week at $11 per hour. Our office is in my home near the Chicago Avenue Blue Line stop, but is comfortably professional and distinctly separate from my living areas. I like to keep the team in our office very diverse in style and skill set; I think the best way to grow as a designer is to be surrounded by other creative people and share ideas and approches. You will work as a part of a small team, but will need to be a self-starter and feel passionate about your work.

You will need to have a passion for interesting design as well as a grasp on Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Additional skills in Flash and HTML are beneficial! Our clients constantly create opportunities for us to grow and learn since the projects that land in our office are always different and original. Accordingly, you can have any variety of skills as long as you’re also excited about growing and developing your creative vision and technical skill.

This role is probably a great fit for someone with an alternative situation — a student, a stay-at-home parent who needs to get out for a few hours each week, someone looking to break into the graphic design career they studied for, etc.

We’re an established publishing group in downtown Chicago (near Wells and Washington) and seeking a part time (25+ hours) graphic designer who can quickly design smaller 2×4, 4×5 print ads for our publications and websites. The position is ideal for anyone who can easily use In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator and produce simple ad designs. We need someone in house, not from home.

Familiar with wordpress, html uploading (dreamweaver) and some coding helpful.

General Description
Funeral Prayer Card Printing Company in search for a person experienced with computers to fill the position in the typesetting department who can be involved with one-on-one customer service on a daily basis and is willing to work in a fast paced environment with standard daily deadlines.

Position Description
Responsible for typesetting and proofreading material and recommending changes to ensure that material is free of errors, clearly written, and logically structured. Responsible for correcting sentence structure, grammar, spelling and punctuation. Committed to continuous improvement by raising questions and gaining knowledge of popular customer terms to ensure that print content is relevant to the target audience. Make editing/proofing corrections of copies reviewed. Knowledge of photo editing and removing unwanted backgrounds is a plus. Knowledge of computers, printers and networking fundamentals required. Review customer faxes, emails and online orders and accommodate feedback with phone calls and emails. Professional telephone personality, etiquette and communication skills are required. Support the laminating team with help as needed to guarantee that print orders make the daily deadlines.

Position Qualifications

High School Diploma
Typing speed must exceed 40 wpm.
Pass drug screening. We are a drug free company. Upon hiring random drug screens scheduled.
Pass background check.

Printing experience preferred. Advertising, Communication, Marketing and Retail experience is desirable.

Additional Qualifications:
Possesses knowledge of widely used PC applications
Knowledge of graphic tools: laminators, trimmers and guillotine cutting machines.
Ability to handle a heavy workload, prioritize work and meet assigned deadlines.
Good verbal and communication skills.

Faced-paced marketing firm representing an array of clients in the Chicagoland area is in need of a Junior Graphic Designer looking to kick off their career and contribute to a small team of busy designers. At least one year of experience is necessary. Must demonstrate a solid understanding of graphic design, web design, maintenance and basic html/css principles.

Position Requirements:
• 4-year degree in Graphic Design or an equivalent focus
• 1-2 years of career experience
